Leadership teams
When resistance, hesitation or repeated indecision is slowing an important move.
FOOSA helps leadership teams uncover what is holding movement in place, work through the obstacles, and leave with a practical next action.
Because the longer important change stays stuck, the more time, attention and investment it consumes.
The problem rarely arrives as “we need a new leadership framework.” It sounds more like this.
FOOSA is most useful when the organisation already knows something needs to move — and the cost of waiting is becoming harder to ignore.
FOOSA works best when there is a real issue in the room, not simply a general interest in leadership development.
When resistance, hesitation or repeated indecision is slowing an important move.
When you are responsible for helping a significant organisational change land.
When adoption or execution is lagging behind the investment already made.
When the next stage requires the leadership team to move with the founder, not behind them.
When fear about what comes next is affecting engagement, commitment or action.
People do not respond only to what is happening now. They also respond to what they believe might happen next.
“This will fail.” “My role will disappear.” “The team won’t accept it.” “If I back this and it goes wrong, I’ll be blamed.”
Those feared futures can quietly shape resistance, decisions and behaviour.
FOOSA does not ask people to ignore fear or push through it. It makes the feared future visible, works with what it reveals, opens another possibility and moves toward action.
It can reveal what people believe is at stake, what they expect could go wrong, and what obstacles may need to be faced.
The method stays simple. The live issue in the room supplies the complexity.
What are we afraid will happen?
What direction do we actually want?
What could genuinely stand in the way?
Can we rehearse moving through it?
What is the smallest move we can make now?
FOOSA for Leaders is a one-day facilitated programme. Participants apply the practice directly to a real decision, change challenge or area of resistance.
Sometimes the one-day programme reveals that the same fears, assumptions or obstacles are appearing across a wider change initiative.
That can open a deeper organisational conversation: leadership sessions, manager cohorts or facilitated work around the live change itself. The shape of that work should follow the problem — not a pre-packaged upsell.
The first question: what important change should be moving, and how will we know when it has?
FOOSA can use AI to widen the field of possibility — to surface alternatives, obstacles and narrative possibilities that may not be immediately visible.
The human retains judgement, authorship and the final decision. FOOSA ends in an action chosen by the participant, not an instruction supplied by the machine.
Raymond Miranda is the creator of FOOSA. His work draws on more than two decades across story, leadership, organisations and education in Malaysia, the United States and Europe.
Tell us the change, the team involved and where it feels stuck. We’ll tell you whether FOOSA is a good fit and what the simplest next step could be.
